Creative, accessible, inclusive, collaborative, and fun!
These are the core values that drive my passion for teaching art.

I've always believed that everyone deserves access to fun and rewarding experiences, regardless of their abilities or challenges. In my previous experience teaching in SEN, I saw firsthand how artistic and creative pursuits can positively impact a person's well-being. That's why I'm so passionate about offering inclusive and accessible art classes for all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. My goal is to create a supportive community where everyone feels encouraged to express themselves through art and to experience the benefits of increased confidence, self-worth, mindfulness, and happiness.

I never imagined my journey as a teacher would lead me here, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I started my career in Australia as a Primary Teacher, working in both small rural schools and bigger primary schools before making the decision to travel overseas. The UK became my new home and I was lucky enough to work in a beautiful SEN school for many years. The pandemic forced our family to reconsider our priorities and we decided to move closer to family in Scotland. As I integrated into the local community, I realized there was a real need for artistic and creative opportunities to bring people together and build community spirit. I'm excited to offer a range of classes that everyone can enjoy, regardless of age or experience.

I believe that art is for everyone, regardless of age, ability, experience or location. That's why I'm committed to making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone. From watercolour to sketching, embroidery to knitting, I offer a wide range of classes that cater to everyone's interests. Through my classes, I strive to build a community that fosters creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration.

I strongly believe in the power of creativity and self-expression for wellbeing, and that's why my classes focus on mindfulness, trust, enjoyment, and learning.

Research has shown that creative pursuits have many benefits, especially for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, the elderly, young children, and mothers. Creativity can improve mental health, self-esteem, and cognitive function. It's amazing to see the positive impact that art can have on people's lives, and I feel so grateful to be able to share that with my community.

In my classes, I create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can feel comfortable exploring their creativity. We focus on the process rather than the end result, allowing each person to express themselves in their own unique way. I believe that everyone has a creative spark, and my classes are designed to help you find and nurture that spark.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, my classes are for you. I can't wait to see what we create together!
